I've always had a love/hate relationship with photography.
Early in life I loved the idea of capturing photos of beautiful things and interesting people but hated carrying around all the gear that entailed. The inconvenience of it simply wan't worth it. So much for the early days.
That all changed when I got my first iPhone and discovered it has a REALLY nice camera, especially for my first love, landscapes. Even more surprising was that I was getting some REALLY nice photographs, at least that's what I thought and so to did many of my friends. All of a sudden I started getting comments like, "your photographs make me happy", "Wow! You really have an eye for this", and "can I get a print of that?".
10,000 iPhone photographs and a few years later I decided it was time to step up to a "real camera". After some stumbling steps translating technique from the iPhone to my new Nikon, I started to get even NICER photos from my DSLR. Even more surprising, I don't mind carrying around all the gear around anymore (at least no too much). What I loved finally overcame what I hated about photography.
Fast forward a few years later and here we are. I have learned so much, and yet have so much yet to learn. I'm glad you're here and I hope that you too will find some joy and happiness through the images I capture and present. I still do lots of landscapes, but also love photo sessions with interesting people, and well, aren't we all.
Thanks for taking the time to visit,
